to be honest, Syrians are more Arabian (half of lebanon are Christian thus they dislike to be called Arabian=Muslim) than Lebanese but much less polite!!
all of my friends who visited the 2 countries have the exact same impressions which are (syrian have no ATM and looked so primitive and inconvenient to me! its NOT safe! they rip the tourists up all the time! and where ever u go u will be annoyed with those crafty beggars!)
Lebanon are f"""ing expensive, they do not like other Arab but they are very polite and they never take ba5sheesh! (chips)
I fought with this syrian sales man at a furniture shop the last night before Eid because he was so rude and stupid! (i was about to smack him!)

the syrians i have met have always been so happy and social and polite
I have been to Lebanon and totally agree, it has got me baffled why they are more policte than syrians, they are just better people i think and have more care in your interests.

1. Arab is a person who speak arabic, Arabic existed centuries before Islam so you can’t link both and Arabic isn’t Islam’s property.
2. Lately there are ATM in Syria, and yes some sales person can be rude because the life in Syria is really tough, low salaries, no democracy etc… so they are rude because life is harsh with them and because they have corrupted political system.
3. I’ve been to syria 3 times and never got robbed, actually we only got robbed once and it was in cairo but that doesn’t mean all egyptians are burglars.
4. Only beirut is expensive, the rest Isn’t that much. and who said we don’t like other arab?? that’s a racist comment.

5. As i told u this salesman is oppressed by the shop owner, and the shop owner is oppressed by the harsh government policy so each one is oppressed by some one which all is linked to the corrupted political system.
This isnt really relevent to your question. I wont argue with you about Syria having more Muslims then Lebanon, I’m sure you have the statistics to prove this… but what I will say is that every syrian I know are christian loool

it depends so much in the level of education, and in the incomes most of the pple has.

Do you know more corruption than in Lebanon? depends on the religion some lebanese practice, they pay the electricity …..or not.
most of the money from external aid to help rebuild the country finished in some well known politicians’ pockets.
In spite of that, lebanese pple is the nicest and kindest in all middle east.

Ok first of all, Lebanese people are polite BUT so are the Syrian people. Of all the Arab countries excluding Lebanon, the Syrians were the kindest to me as a Lebanese girl.
ATM is not their fault, its not the peoples fault, its the governments fault….
