    I don’t understand why you are concerned. French country is supposed to be rustic. Perhaps you pictured French country as manor house rather than farm house. However, French country includes the linear and plain as well as the curved and ornamented. French furniture was handcrafted locally until the industrial revolution, and there is wide variation in style.
